Privacy

What we collect, what we do not, and why.

Draft — do not publish as-is. This page has structure and plain-English content but has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Terms, privacy and consumer-rights obligations depend on where you and your customers are, and on how you take payment. Have counsel review it, then delete this banner.

The short version

We collect what is needed to run an account and nothing more. Your trading data and your market-data credentials are not ours and are not sent to us.

What we collect

  • Account details — your email address, and billing details handled by Stripe
  • Licence data — enough to enforce the machine limit on your plan
  • Support correspondence — what you send us when you ask for help
  • Basic site analytics — aggregate traffic data, if enabled

What we do not collect

  • Your Rithmic password or market-data credentials. These stay on your machine. We will never ask for them.
  • Your positions, orders, fills or trading history
  • Your workspaces, journals or recorded tick history — these are stored locally

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never reaches Chartveil — it goes straight to Stripe, who are PCI-DSS Level 1 certified, and we only ever see what they show us: that a payment succeeded or failed, the card brand, its last four digits and the billing country. We cannot charge a card outside the subscription you agreed to.

Stripe processes that data as its own controller under Stripe’s privacy policy, including for fraud prevention.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the service — Stripe for payments and subscription billing, plus email delivery and hosting — and only as far as each of them needs it to do that job.

Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and for as long afterwards as required for tax and accounting purposes. Support correspondence is kept while it is useful.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to trung@chartveil.com.

Cookies

The site uses only what it needs to function. If analytics are enabled, non-essential cookies are set only with your consent.
