The rewrite problem

Most strategies die in translation

A rule set validated in one tool and then re-implemented in another is a different rule set. The differences are usually small, silent, and exactly where the edge was.

One definition

The strategy that ran in the backtest is the strategy that runs live — same bar construction, same order-flow inputs.

Order-flow conditions

Rules can read delta, imbalance and resting size, not only price.

Explicit risk limits

Per-strategy limits, because a prop account fails on drawdown before it fails on strategy.

Manual override

Always. An automated strategy you cannot immediately stop is a liability.

Questions

The rest of the site says there is no order routing. Which is true?

Both, at different times. The current release is strictly read-only against the feed — no routing, no orders. Trading on Rithmic accounts is coming, and automated trading is a further step on top of it; the site will say plainly where each one stands before any build ships with it.

Is this a bot that trades for me?

It executes rules you wrote and can stop at any moment. It does not decide what to trade, and Chartveil does not supply strategies.

Will it work on a funded account?

That depends on your firm’s rules on automation, which vary and which you should check before relying on it.
