What we aim for
chartveil.com is built to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. That is a target we test against, not a certificate: the site is not audited by a third party. This statement covers the website. The desktop terminal is covered in its own section below.
What is in place on the site
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first tab stop on every page
- Landmark structure — one header, one navigation, one main region and one footer per page, with a single top-level heading and headings that do not skip levels
- Every image carries alt text; decorative marks are hidden from assistive technology
- Every control is reachable by keyboard and shows a visible focus ring; menus and dialogs close on Escape and do not trap focus
- Body text and interface text are set against the dark ground at 4.5:1 or better, and the amber selection colour is never the only signal of state
- Links and buttons are at least 24 × 24 px, and the layout reflows to a 320 px viewport without horizontal scrolling
- Animation, the depth effect and the looping renders respect
prefers-reduced-motion; nothing on the site flashes - Pages are checked in current Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge on desktop and Safari and Chrome on phones, with keyboard-only navigation and an automated accessibility audit on every template. Screen-reader testing is done on request, not on every release — see the limitations below
Known limitations
- Product renders. The screenshots and looping renders of the terminal show a dense chart; their alt text describes what the panel is, not every number on it
- Blog charts. Some articles include charts drawn as images; the surrounding text carries the point they make, but the values are not available as a table
- Third-party pages. Payment happens on Stripe’s checkout page and Discord sign-in on Discord’s. Their accessibility is theirs
The desktop terminal
The Chartveil application is a real-time trading terminal. It is keyboard-operable and every colour in the chart, heatmap and ladder can be changed in Chart settings › Appearance, but a market-by-order heatmap and a footprint chart are inherently visual, and the terminal does not currently meet WCAG AA for screen-reader use. Spoken execution alerts (Chart settings › Sounds) announce fills, stops and targets. If you rely on assistive technology and want to use the terminal, write to us before subscribing and we will tell you plainly what works and what does not.
Tell us what is broken
If any part of the site is hard to use, email support@chartveil.com with the page address and what happened. Accessibility problems are handled as bugs, by the person who built the site, and you will get a reply from a person.
